Hosted by the Oceantic Network, this event will provide valuable insights into the current state of the offshore wind industry in the United States, with particular emphasis on the southeastern region and North Carolina. The market briefing will cover key developments, workforce growth, and opportunities in the offshore wind sector.
Following the OSW Market Overview, the event will feature two short panels:
1. Harnessing the Wind: North Carolina’s Role in Offshore Wind Manufacturing and Supply Chain: North Carolina companies big and small are already players in offshore wind, with major manufacturers headquartered throughout the state, including in Charlotte and Raleigh. Panelists will share and highlight companies and manufacturers from NC already working in the offshore wind industry and how their companies are involved both nationally and globally.
2. Unlocking Potential: How Regional Market Developments Can Lead to Greater Business Opportunities and Economic Growth: The U.S offshore wind industry is taking off in the Northeast and Central Atlantic, creating significant opportunities for economic growth and job creation. Panelists will explore forward-looking job creation and strategies for North Carolina businesses to enter the industry.
